After 18 months of research and looking at ski boats, wake boats and multi role boats such as the Haines Signature BR series, it was a Sunday trip to the 2006 Vic Boat Show that introduced us to a small group called XFI. Tucked away in the back corner, just near the coffee shop - a true marketing strategy, it was the Yellow Renegade with the wake tower that first caught our eye.
From then on in it was only a matter of time till we had decided that we knew which was the right boat for us.
If you are looking for value for money then XFI has the product range to suit you, if you are looking for experts in their field - whether it is boat design, manufacture or trim- then you will find them in Bayswater in Holloway Drive. Or if you are looking for people who believe in their product, use their product and let the product make all the sales pitches then XFI is the place. It is the little things that the XFI team does that sets their boats above all others.
We took delivery of our Gunmetal Grey Renegade in Sept last year and have been on the water nearly every weekend since. The boat performs beautifully in all conditions. It is powerful enough to easily pull up a slalom skier but can be dialled back to take two three year olds for their first ski, or tube. Both Samone and I have skied behind many boats but the way the Renegade leaves a flat wake makes the skiing experience that much more enjoyable. This comment has also come from friends and family who have joined us on the water.
If you are looking for a way to spend what precious free time you have with your own family then seriously look into visiting the team at XFI. Making the decision to travel to the show room will be rewarded when you see their smiles.

Dealing with XFI boats was great when we bought our Renegade in March 2006. The boat was ready early as we were waiting anxiously for it to arrive. They helped us with any questions we had to ask and were great in replying. The boat itself is great. It has a great wake for all preferences such as wakeboarding to barefooting. The ballast is great and there are many great options that you can get.
We haven't had a problem with our boat yet and i doubt there will be one for along time, overall XFI boats and staff are great and helpful, they are great boats to have and good people to deal with.

I was reading the Testimonials on the XFi Boats website the other night.
Without being critical, to me, everybody seems to have missed the most important aspect in their purchase of an XFi boat. Sure, your service is outstanding, and it really is. The quality of your boats is extraordinary; there is no question about that at all. What sets your boats apart from everybody else’s is that XFi build a boat with a soul.
My boat, Psycho, is not just another ski boat. It has a personality and a character of it’s own. When you drive through town, people stop and look. When you go to put it in the water, you know everybody around is watching. When you start it ….life begins. You can have a real sh*t of a week, and we all do, but the moment you press RUN then START and it burbles, all is forgotten.
I had an unreal morning on the water today. The water was like glass, the ski’s hissed across the water, and the boat was faultless. I cannot say that it cuts and bites and does this and does that better than other boats do, because, in all honesty I really don’t know what other people are talking about. All I know is, for me, Psycho is the greatest boat ever built. If I was to win Lotto tomorrow, I could not buy a better day than I had today.
How can you convey that to people, because that is what owning an XFi boat is all about.
Craig, as a…marketing person, keep in mind you are not simply building boats. In most cases you are creating a lifestyle for your customers and their children. Market the lifestyle you can offer to families. Even your top of the line boats are with most peoples budgets and owning an XFi can change lives so much.

To Dean and all the wonderful staff at XFi,
We would like to say thank you for the magnificent red Illusion that we now proudly own!
As this is the first boat we have ever owned, it was a somewhat scary process to embark upon. After a foray onto the internet looking for inspiration, we had a list of companies that built boats that we had liked the look of and wanted to know more about. XFi interestingly was our first port of call as we were drawn to their style of boat. As such we met Craig at the XFi Showroom. We liked the fact that they use new motors, the 3 year motor warranty and the lifetime hull warranty, the obvious attention to detail and the multitude of options. Not only did Craig tell us much more, but he did so with such genuine enthusiasm for a product that he so obviously believes in. He took us on a tour through the trim shop where the interiors were being made and through the mechanics workshop where boats were in various stages of construction. We particularly respect Craig for encouraging us and all that visits them, to research and compare with other boat builders because he doesn’t want anyone to feel disappointed with the boat they buy. Its better to have done the research and to be sure. He even gave us directions to the next company on our list!
Needless to say we ended up back where we began at XFi. Our nerves about ordering a boat quickly dissipated as we were welcomed into what is a genuinely friendly atmosphere with people who are keen to answer questions, find out information and help you in any way they can. Craig and also Andrew from the trim shop were particularly patient with us in our quest to come up with a our interior colour scheme from the endless options that are available – our third time lucky hey!! We also kept adding options as we did more and more research into exactly what we wanted in our boat. Nothing was too difficult, including the custom colour for our hull which we were very specific about – its perfect thank you guys!
The open door policy at XFi was awesome throughout the building process. We have photos of the bare hull, the motor being fitted, the trim being stitched, everything before our very as it all went together. We were sure you would be sick of us, but you apparently have high tolerance levels!
Andrew in the retail shop helped to set us up with all the gear we needed and wanted. He was also a delight to talk to and a great source of knowledge when we rang or called in throughout the process.
The icing on the cake was our delivery day. We know how busy you all were prior to Easter, so for Dean and Craig to go to the amount of effort that they did to help organise a birthday surprise was exceptional. Cas’s birthday gift was resplendent in a beautiful red bow and happy birthday sign! Your effort is so incredibly appreciated.
We were not sure what to expect in the process of buying our first boat and it turned out to be the most enjoyable and exciting experience. We have rarely missed an opportunity to be out on the water and we think of you all when we are skiing, kneeboarding, trying to wakeboard, on the biscuits or just cruising.
To Dean, Craig, Andrew (Trim Shop), Lauren, Jess, Andrew (Retail Shop) Josh and Steve the mechanics and everyone else who assisted the process in any way. We thank you all.

Dear XFi, Thankyou for the BEAUTIFUL boat that you put together for us. We couldn't be happier. We have only had our boat since October and already it has brought us much joy and made family time really special as it is a sport we can all share together. My five year old son thinks knee boarding is fantastic and can't wait to go again while my two year old, surprisingly, had a go on the biscuit. A special thanks to Dean, Craig and Dave(who is no longer there) for your customer service. You made it seem like we were your only customers with the amount of time that you devoted to us. When we would speak on the phone, it wasn't "the owner of the green genesis". We weren't made to feel like another sale, and since picking up the boat the customer service hasn't stopped. We really appreciate the help you gave us over the xmas break in trying to find a shaft that we had bent when we hit a stump up on the Murray. Even though it was late Saturday afternoon, Craig did everything possible to help us when he could have easily not answered his phone. And Dean showed the same commitment just so we could have our boat up and running so we could ski for the rest of our holiday. Thanks guys. If anyone is thinking of buying a boat come in and look at the XFi boats. They are very thorough in showing you how their boats go together. And there wasn't a single question they didn't know the answer to. There were no hidden costs everything is upfront and these boats come up looking fantastic. We shopped around for awhile and in the end XFi had the complete package. And our boat is beautiful. A very big thanks to all the XFi team. I searched for a long time for my new boat and once I talked to Craig I knew I had found my boat. You endured the lengthy phone calls and addressed all my concerns, by far the best customer service I have come across in a long time.
Once I received my Genesis the whole family just loved it and couldn't wait to get it out on the water. It is everything we wanted and more. The finish is brilliant and rides and handles like a dream. Best value for money on the market, We love it.

What can I say - I have a Genesis on order. Prices are, as far as I am concerned, best value for money. Don't waste your time shopping around,
I did months of research and XFI beat them hands down. Why pay for a name. It's the quality and performance of the product you are after. No other Ski / Family Boat Manufacturers can boast all of the above: XFI did, and I am one satisfied customer. I am sure the future for them is loads of sales.
And where else can you go down and actually watch your boat go together !

Still cant believe how well she turns and handles and how well it handles the chop and the wake is great, took most riders by surprise at just how rampy it is and how much pop you get off it. We had done our homework on the computer at home before venturing down to the showroom to have a look at the ideal model which we were chasing.
When we arrived, the welcome we received was exceptionally good, and we then spent the next 2 hours going through the variety of models they had. Finally we decided to go for the Renegade and have a lot of family fun on our boat since picking it up in January 2004.
We highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an ideal family boat or even for competition.

We picked up our Renegade 3 weeks ago and have had an absolute ball !! The boat is easy to drive, and we have had nothing but great reviews from passengers and skiers alike ! A couple of comments we have received........ "It rides better than anything else we have been in. The pulling power and drive is awesome, it looks great and is smooth as silk." "A perfect all round boat. At slower speeds the wake is almost as good as a far more expensive boats and it flattens the wake at faster speeds for great skiing.
